Examination into the world of Adam As Lyon promised we are given insight into Adam s motivations and why he shies away from commitment While the reason isn t anything I didn t see coming it does shed some light into where he is emotionallyIf I could ask for one thing in this book it s that I wanted moments with Adam This might be a selfish reuest from me but also one that I think the novel needed The stories about her clients in and out of court were entertaining and hilarious but I really wanted time with him Even though I loved these two books I feel like this love story might have been able to be condensed into one story and still maintain its magnetic uality I enjoyed the fluff in this book and in the last one but some of it didn t necessarily need to be thereI m already patiently awaiting whatever Erin Lyon comes up with next Until then I will be rereading these books I ve already read the ending of Unconditionally multiple times since I first finished it in November I can t recommend these books enough And if ou ve read them and The Definition of Icing (Dallas Demons, you loved them share the love and tell a friend Thanks to the author for providing me with an advanced Lastear I couldn t wait to get my hands on this seuel right after the cliffhanger ending in I Love You Subject to the Following Terms and Conditions It was one of those situations where I wanted to scream and run around because that s how much I cared about the charactersUnconditionally was such a breeze to read The easy humour absurd situations and amusing dialogues made it impossible not to laugh while reading My only slight disappointment was with the romance There was a shift in focus from the spotlight on Kate s love life to all sorts of other dysfunctional relationships in the world They were entertaining to read about but I really wanted Adam and Kate moments The few that we got didn t uite satisfy my needKate is the loveliest of characters I loved everything about her Her frustration her confusion her hesitations and even her inner snarky tone were real and relatable She made the best with whatever life threw at her Even during the tough times and emotional moments she held true to herself and was fair to othersBecoming a signing lawyer had its ups and downs Despite her life long refusal Kate was a star Her inner voice was sarcastic as heck but she kept them all to herself proving she was than capable to be mature about her new job Kate handled her cases professionally and treated her clients with respect and without prejudice I m a fan of the tv show Suits so I thoroughly enjoyed all the legal proceedings in Unconditionally I loved reading about Kate doing her jobOf all the guys in Kate s love life Dave was a real eyesore I just couldn t muster up any feelings except extreme dislike for him Besides him every other side character were agreeable and fun Logek and Mags were supportive besties to Kate Unconditionally was full of humour and heart Readers of contemporary romance must not miss out on the fun that is the Contract Killers duology I m eagerly looking forward to what Ms Erin Lyon brings us next I was beyond excited to get to be on the Unconditionally book tour after reading the first in this series Not only was I Love You Subject to the Following Terms and Conditions an amazing read but it was also a cliff hanger of sorts So to say that I ve been eagerly anticipating Unconditionally is an understatement All of the things I loved about the Ms Lyon s freshman novel were here in spades Kate s completely endearing friendship with Logek is still an integral part of this story What would a girl do without some amazing girlfriends These two seem to be soulmates and written completely compatible with each other Also my appreciation of how vulnerable Memoirs of Hecate County yet tough Kate can be hasn t changed a bit There s no doubt in my mind that Ms Lyon knows her characters They all only got stronger in Unconditionally Growing ever so slightly as the story progresses One of the things I actually really appreciated about this story was how much of Kate s job the reader was able to experience In the first she was just starting and seemed to be consumed with the three men in her life Here Kate seemed to be doing her best at being the best attorney possible And there were some really humorous moments in there thrown inWith a happy ending depending on which manou were rooting for lovable characters and incredibly talented writing Unconditionally is a book that no one should missChristine Captivated Reading This ARC was received in exchange for an honest reviewThis is the story of Kate who has accepted a job in contract law even though she had always refused to go into that practice She also has an ex Jonathan who it seems wants to get back together then there is Dave he just wants and finally there is Adam it seems that Kate has had a crush on Adam for some time now but Adam just wants to keep it in the friend zoneI liked the characters especially Adam he and Kate seemed really great togetherI would recommend reading the first book in the series I Love You Subject to the Following Terms and Conditions as this one ended in a cliff hanger and followed through into book twoI can t wait to see what comes next from Erin LyonPlease see Blog Interview with Erin Lyon Review tfaulcbookreviews. Level but she still can't shake her wolf in sheep's clothing vibe about him And then there's Adam her mad crush who really wants to be her friend So to sum up one uestionable ex one player with a capital P and one guy who's kind of stolen her heart even though she's in the friend zone This should be a piece of cake Unconditionally is both a sweet and sexy romantic comedy and a hilariously relatable look at finding happiness where ou least expect it.

Was as much fun as the first Ms Lyon s dialogue is hilarious and clever I read so much of this book with a smile on my face I always find Kate s inner commentary to be a bit jarring at first but it doesn t take me long to settle in and appreciate all of her thoughts Kate is just as honest in this book as she was in the last which is my favourite thing about her She doesn t play games and even though she s still juggling her feelings for 3 men she never tells them anything but the truth and I freaking LOVE her for itI did find myself wondering a few times if this story could not have been told in one book instead of two Some of it seemed repetitive and also since I had just finished the first book the recapping seemed unnecessary I may have felt differently had I read them a ear apart as they were released Now that I m finished I was happy for that extra time with Kate her men her clients and her friends The lawyer A Short History of Ireland, 1500-2000 y stuff was immensely entertaining and I think I could read about her interaction with her clients all damn day Her personal life was not uite as fun as the first book but her work life made up for it because I feel like we d been there before I also really missed her time with my favourite guy I wish they d been on the page together Having said that where it all ended up was so worth it It was such a perfect ending that I ve re read it 3 times since finishing Seriously I could kiss Ms Lyon for that She sueezed my heart so muchIfou love a fun contemporary romance If an Elephant Went to School you need to get on this The first book I Love You Subject To The Following Terms and Conditions was one of my favourite reads of thisear it came out in 2017Unconditionally isn t uite as good but it was still enjoyable and didn t disappointMost of my love for this book comes from the characters who are grown ups It s surprising how refreshing it is to read about grown up with full time jobs and general guy and house problems There was a point that did feel like situations were being juggled work text court guy pops over work text guy pops over repeat but the goings on within these moments all had their own purposes so it worked outAnyways the story picks up right where it left off and though part of me wonders why it wasn t just one complete story I was happy to take two mouthwatering bites What is this stupid smile doing on my face at 630 in the morning I loved this conclusion to Kate s story And the unicorn was perfect Gotta love contract killers I highly recommend this series if Morse Code for Radio Amateurs you want to have a goofy smile onour face or if The Ideal Muslim Society you need a uick unputdownable series to putou in a great mood I loved it UNCONDITIONALLY is the follow up to last Linux Networking Cookbook year s I Love You Subject to the Following Terms and Conditions Read my review which was one of my favorite reads of 2017Erin Lyon s funny romantic and uniue duet is a contemporary romance junkie s dream The two main leads communicate openly with each other and have a great friendship Kate says exactly what s on her mind I love the way Adam cares for her and how he shows it Ifou re a lover of romantic comedies like me then these are the books for Marcus Garvey youFor the last 11 months I ve been slowly dying inside because I haven t had this book in my hands You guys I DEVOURED Unconditionally in a matter of hours I tore open the package upon arrival and didn t put the book down until I was finished This book picks up right where I Love You leaves off so ifou ve read it then FRIENDLY ENEMIES you understand the weight of that statement Read it ends in a delicious cliffhanger In I Love You I fell in a disgusting kind of love with Kate and Adam There is just something about them that makes me happy when they re together even if it s just as friends sad faceIn Unconditionally we see Kate navigating her new life as an associate in her uncle s signing law firm and her single status She s no longer with her partner Jonathan and she s not really sure about Dave either Her heart really belongs to Adam swoon but he s somewhat emotionally unavailable to herI love Kateou guys I want to be her friend I want to go over to her house and drink wine with her and Logek out of her tiger striped wine glasses I want to go out dancing with her I d even put up with her ruining dinner RedemptionChicken It s refreshing to read a book character who isn t overly melodramatic or living a fantasy life that us lowly peasants can t relate to I think that s why I like her so much she is relatable and I could see myself being friends with herOf course my favorite moments in the book involve Adam It s actions that often speak louder than words right Well that s what I loved about Adam Even when he couldn t express how much he cared for Kate he definitely showed it by being there for her There are some moments between these two friends that just made my heart melt I just wanted them to be together SO MUCH Will they or won t they I think ou might be cremating the chicken The smoke detector immediately started blaring with alternate high and low tones both eually annoying I grabbed a bag and began trying to help Adam fan the smoke away from the alarm but the damn thing wouldn t turn off Adam rushed back into the kitchen and began opening drawers until he found a couple oven mitts After slipping them on he grabbed the pan of chicken from the oven and took it out onto the back porch And for the most part the smoke seemed to follow him He set the pan down on the porch railing farthest from the door and came back inside He was grinning at me when he grabbed his bag and once again began fanning the smoke toward the back door I was smiling back at him because I knew I wasn t going to hear the end of this from him and because this was the most fun I d ever had giving my dinner a Viking funeral Kate s new landlord is Adam s mother which gives Kate a chance at a direct. Tract But between Kate's embarrassing penchant for running into exes in court clients determined to use her as their very own therapist and a couple having a knock down drag out over the custody of the family guinea pig at least the job's never boringBut while Kate finally has a handle on her career her love life is still well complicated The former love of her life Jonathan wants her back Her current main sueeze Dave wants to take things to the next.
45 StarsI am sad my binge read of this series is over however I just COULD NOT seem to put it down until the very end I read both books basically in one day thank goodness for a husband who puts up with my need to read I agree with most other readers that this book probably could have been condensed into one But honestly I got so wrapped into Kate s world that I didn t mind at all I think if I had read the first book I Love You Subject to the Following Terms and Conditions before the second one was out though I would have been annoyed at the waiting game Since I didn t have to wait though due to my own diligent waiting to read book 1 I absolutely loved all the side lawyer stuff I was laughing so hard at the crazies Kate was dealing with Some possibly spoiler thoughts My heart really did break for Jonathan for a lot of book 1 and 2 I totally got why Kate reacted the way she did and had that big change of feelings due to his failure to re up BUT man would that suck to be him He was a genuinely good guy who went through a mid life crisis and it ended up ruining something super great I felt torn just like Kate and could really feel his pain as well The only times I really felt emotion while reading this book were during their time together and especially their final breakup I legit had tears well up in my eyes This is not to say that I wasn t happy with the ending because I was I just did like sympathize with his character Dave just freaked me out pretty soon after he started to actually care but did he about Kate I didn t mind him at first found him endearing up to a certain point of his pursuit After that I kept waiting for him to do something super creepy or act abusive because he just seemed kind of unhinged Every time she was with him I was on high alert Eek Adam was super frustrating at times but I couldn t help but root for him Kate up until the end I do wish that there had been a few scenes between them leading up to the big moment because I think I needed to feel of his shift self realization As good as that moment was I feel like I wanted a little explanation 35 StarsThis was a fun and entertaining read The story picks up right where the first book ends There was a little rehashing of book one that was tolerable and maybe not needed The side characters were all there and their presence added to the humor and like ability of the story Even though I can t relate to Kate I find her mesmerizing and I want to just hang around her This again makes this book a fast readThe flaw for me in this book was that in book one we spend our time with Kate s interaction with her three potential boyfriends In book two we spend very little time with these guys and with Kate being a lawyer While the lawyerly stories are funny and enjoyable they create an imbalance with the flow of the series as a whole Overall I give this two book series two thumbs up I m looking forward to reading by this author Highly recommended I received this book for free from Publisher in exchange for an honest review This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review In the Contract Killers series the world is much the same as today but with one big difference there is no such thing as marriage instead people sign with someone This is basically the same as marriage only like most contracts there is an end date 7 And a Bottle of Rum years After 7ears is up Crochet you can either part ways or re up the contact for another 7earsUnconditionally is the second maybe the last book in the Contract Killers series and starts just where we left off in the first book So if Playhouse you haven t read I Love You Subject to the Following Terms and Conditionsou will need to pick that up first We dive straight back into Kate s world where she is in the middle of a love suare as well as keeping up with her crazy clients in her job as a signing attorneyThere were elements of Unconditionally I really liked such as her antics as an attorney in signing law and the hilarious scraps that her clients find themselves in I also thought Kate was a good heroine she was smart and funny and seemed like just the kind of gal ou would want as a friend But these aspects of the book were outweighed by what I didn t likeThis book read like a list of events that had happened to Kate rather than as an interesting and engaging story It meandered through a few weeks of her life with seemingly no direction We see Kate go to work Kate goes home Kate sees her friends Kate pines after Adam the forerunner in the love suare The whole book continues like this until Kate finally couples up with someone I won t say who in the last 2% of the book It was so abrupt I thought that once again it was going to end with no clear conclusion regarding Kate s love life Then BAM it all sorts itself out with such a uick 180 from one of the characters I don t want to give spoilers that I was in danger of whiplash This wasn t story telling at its bestI am not sure if this series is continuing or if it is duet Kate s story has concluded I guess unless we are going for a meander into coupledom with her and her man I won t be in a rush to read anything further in this series although I liked the characters in this I thought the romance was weak and I am still looking for a plotARC provided by publisherReviewed by Suzanne Don t want to miss any of our posts Subscribe to our blog by email I was a bit frantic a couple of days ago when I finished the first book in this series and found out that the second had not been released et it will be on January 9th I
